From Bollywood Hungama Taran Adarsh gave Student Of The Year 4/5 stars and said that Student Of The Year is a love story but it has its turns. But Kjo is a good script writer he modernized the script. Student Of The Year is on the whole is Kiran Johar's one of the most accomplished work. Youth love the film as Student Of The Year is about the fun of student life. In India Student of The Year 2012 has good opening at multiplexes but at single screen little lower due to limited release where it had grossed INR7.48 crores on the opening day. On second day Student of The Year showed little growth and earned INR8.50 crores. The decent figure is collected by Student of The Year was INR25.25 crores at the end of its first weekend. Student of The Year  did very well and it grossed INR43.07 crores in its first week. Student of The Year earned and collected INR8 crores in second weekend. Student of The Year face drop in its second and third weekend where it grossed INR14 crores and INR3.25 crores respectively. The total gross of Student of The Year was INR63.25 crores in three weekends. Overseas Student of The Year released in 300 screens and grossed $1.25 million, which is definitely below the mark. Student of The Year closed on $2.25 million in overseas markets.
