BA Pass Full Movie Synopsis:

BA Pass Movie, In After losing his parents in a car accident, Mukesh stays at his Aunt's house in Delhi. Enrolled in a good for nothing course in college he finds peace by playing chess at the local cemetery, the rest of the times he worries over ways to make a living and taking care of his sisters. 'B.A.Pass' is a story looking at the fatal promise of a new life. When Mukesh meets Sarika 'auntie' at a kitty party, little does he know of the city and it's ways and means to survive. Sarika seduces Mukesh, shy and inexperienced he falls for her. What follows is a twist of destiny, a kind of story that appears in the tabloids as 'heinous acts of crime'.

BA Pass Full Movie Review:

The movie garnered an average rating of close to 3.4. At the 2012 Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema, the film won the Best Film Award in the 'Indian competition' section, while debutante Shadab Kamal won the Best Actor award. Later at the 2012 Montreal World Film Festival the film was part of the 'First Films World Competition', where it was nominated for the Golden Zenith for the Best First Fiction Feature Film.

B.A. Pass holds your interest as long as Bahl sticks to Sikka’s darkly twisted story. But each time he diverges including his choice of the film’s cheesy name (Sikka’s story is titled The Railway Aunty) the narrative wobbles.

The plot additions, including Mukesh’s sisters’ problems at a home for orphans and his desperate attempts at raising money towards the end of the film, are feeble. Some of the sex scenes are unintentionally funny even in the throes of passion, for instance, Sarika keeps her bra on. But mostly, the film is tripped up by its strangely solemn yet voyeuristic tonality, a gaze that is both sympathetic and leering. Beyond a point, it becomes repetitive and Bahl is unable to hold your interest in these sad and sordid lives

BA Pass Full Movie Box Office Report:

The film gathered a little over 6 crore at the box office after it’s first week and that’s decent enough considering the costs involved in its making and release. Yes, Chennai Express has arrived this week which means any and every film would be on the back burner as the Shah Rukh Khan starrer invades the screens. Still, it is to the credit of exhibitors that a show or two of B.A Pass have still been retained to allow a respectable second week run at least.
