Aatma Full Movie Synopsis:

A single mother fights against the supernatural in order to hold on to her daughter. Aatma movie follows Maya (Bipasha Basu), a single mother that has managed to escape the cycle of abuse from her husband (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) after his death. Her sense of peace is shattered when she begins to discover that her husband is possessing their daughter (Doyel Dhawan) with the intent of causing the child's death and taking her with him to his own world (of the dead).

Aatma Full Movie Review:

Critical reception for Aatma has been mixed, with a reviewer for Rediff.com criticizing Aatma Movie for lacking a "sense of mystery, the element of surprise that’s essential for films in this genre". NDTV praised Aatma Movie's acting, particularly that of Doyel Dhawan and especially of Bipasha's deep role, but also commented that they felt Aatma film wasn't particularly frightening. In contrast, India TV stated that the movie's "thrilling parts" "succeeded in frightening", although they found the ending anticlimactic. Yahoo Movies Review stated,"Aatma film’s linear narrative follows a very predictable plot trajectory that hardly delivers on the thrill quotient" and gave the movie a 2 star rating.
